ECD : The police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at at Eccles Public Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD), during which Sancarlos Sukhu, 30 years, of Kara Kara, Linden, was shot and injured to his right ankle and shoulder.
The Police say Sukhu was in a motor vehicle driven by Hai San Wong, 65 years, of Kara Kara, and which had stopped at the traffic lights. During this time a man armed with a firearm came up to the vehicle and held them up and demanded cash. A sum of money was handed over to the perpetrator who demanded more and discharged rounds in the process, hitting Sancarlos Sukhu, after which he escaped.
Sancarlos Sukhu has been admitted to hospital.
