Man remanded to prison for .45 rifle

Georgetown: An East La Penitence, Georgetown resident who was held Thursday with a .45 rifle was Friday remanded to prison. Twenty-eight year old Ceasar Gonsalves of 117 Turn Drive, East La Penitence was remanded to prison until January 24, when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennon charged with illegal possession of arms and ammunition.

The court heard that on January 12 the man was found with the rifle without being the holder of a license to carry same. He pleaded not guilty to that charge. He also plead not guilty to ammunition charges while being unrepresented.
