St John's Antigua.
A man attempted to rob a branch of the Antigua Commerical Bank located at the Village Walk around 8 o'clock last night. Carol Johnson a manager at the branch was leaving the bank when a man forced him back in side at gunpoint was passerby shouted at the robber, a and short struggle ensued.
Johnson who was struck in the leg with a bullet and the robber fled the scence leaving a black SUV vehicle behind.
It is not clear if there was any cash taken from the bank.
