Berbice: Bhanmattie Devi Bacchus, 28 years, of Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, Berbice, was killed Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Bacchus visited a man whom she had a common-law relationship, in an attempt to reconcile. An argument ensued, the man attacked her with a cutlass slicing her neck and other parts of the body. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the New Amsterdam Hospital. The perpetrator was arrested by the police.
