Man killed in Eccles identified as “Satan Ambassador”

Satan AmbassadorGeorgetown: Police Investigators have identified the lifeless body found with gunshot wounds in Eccles, East Bank Demerara as 27-year old Rawle Newton called “Satan Ambassador.”

He was charged in 2010 for the murder of businessmen, Jainarine Raghubar and Ramdeo Deonarine. In February, the Force issued a Wanted Bulletin for Newton for robbery under arms committed on a resident of Parfait Harmonie. The bulletin came just three weeks after Newton was set free by a Magistrate in Bartica on a double murder charge.

The allegation was that Newton, between September 4 and September 5, 2010at Bartica murdered Jainarine Raghubar and Ramdeo Deonarine.

Newton was also additionally charged with two counts of armed robbery. It was alleged that on August 14, armed with a gun he robbed Justin Gilkes of $40,000 worth of articles. Another charge stated that on the same day Newton robbed Arnold Hoppie of gold jewellery valuing $2.1M.
