Georgetown: A man who hacked a policewoman to death Thursday morning, hours later committed suicide, police said.
Dead is woman Sergeant Keneisha Sheriff, she was the mother of three children, ages five, 11 and 18 years old. She was attached to the Central Police Station in New Amsterdam. Her body was found with her throat slit and several chops at her Number 30 Village, West Coast Berbice.
Hours later the body of Clayton Anthony was found dead after he reportedly chopped a 39-year-old Berbice policewoman to death. Anthony was found hanging at the seaside in Trafalgar. Suicide is suspected.
Reports indicate that the suspect lived in the lower flat of the house and the two had an argument prior to the murder. A cutlass was found next to the body. Neighbours reported seeing the suspect fleeing the house with blood-stained clothes and a rope in his possession.
