Man found not guilty of raping teen

criminal-justice-careersGeorgetown: A jury Thursday found 35-year-old rape accused  Neville Lyttle  not guilty of committing  rape on a  13-year-old girl. The girl had said that her assailant who had repeated the acts several times between 2012 and 2013. Lyttle who was represented by former High Court judge, Mr. Jainarayan Singh,  had pleaded innocent. Defence counsel declared that although the girl claimed that the accused had  repeated  the  offence  several  times  between 2012 and 2013 she was unable to name a single date of any of the commissions. According to defence lawyer  the doctor’s report  disclosed that the girl’s hymen was removed but apart from that there was no sign of bruises or injuries. The girl is now  16 years old.
