Georgetown: A man was arrested on Sunday, June 18 at the Eugene F Correia International Airport Ogle, East Coast Demerara (ECD) by a vigilant rank of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU). According to CANU, Randolph Muir also Known as “Roach” of Lot 3 L Enterprise Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara was on a flight scheduled for Barbados; he was escorted to a city hospital where he excreted a total of 72 cocaine filled pellets between Sunday evening into Monday.
The suspected cocaine weighed a total of 592 grams and Munir is currently in custody pending further investigations. He is expected to be placed before a magistrate on Wednesday June 21, 2017.
