Georgetown: A man is in police custody after allegedly severing the head of his uncle Sunday morning.  Dead is Randolph Seenaught, 51, of 125 Better Hope South, East Coast Demerara. He was killed at his home. His 27-year- old nephew, Dwayne Tappin turned himself into police custody at Sparendaam Police Station hours after the incident.  Reports indicate that Tappin, a former member of the Guyana Defence Force was involved in a scuffle with his uncle severing his head from his body in the process before fleeing the scene. Neighbours said they heard a loud noise emanating from the house and suspected that something was wrong.  One neighbour then called out for Seenaught but received no reply.  Contact was made with the police who visited the scene and made the gruesome discovery at approximately 06:00hrs. The man’s headless body was on a single mattress in the one bedroom house and his body was several feet away.  The residents explained that the family has a dispute over a will and land which the dead man’s mother left before she died. The dead man’s sister told reporters that her brother and another relative have had an ongoing dispute over the property and it is now engaging the attention of the Courts. She said the her brother would constantly be attacked and beaten by the relative, but she never expected the land dispute would have resulted in his death.
