East Coast Demerara : Investigations are currently being conducted into the murder of Candacy Pitt age 31, of 18 Chelsea Park, East Coast Demerara which occurred on June 01, 2016 about 9:45pm.
Pitt who worked as a security guard attached to the Bygeval Secondary school was attacked by her husband at her workplace and dealt multiple chops about her body but not before he first attacked and chopped security guard Brenda Thomas aged 51 years of Chelsea Park who had denied him entry into the compound to see his wife.
They were rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where Candacy Pitt was pronounced dead on arrival and Brenda Thomas admitted. The husband of Candacy Pitt, Athlone Pitt surrendered to the police and confessed to the crime.
He is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
