Mahaica : Investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred last night on Unity Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD), and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Deodat Ram, 48 years, of Helena No.2, Mahaica, ECD.
It is suspected that Deodat Ram was struck down by a motor cyclist while he was walking along the roadway. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The motor cycle was found abandoned at the scene without the registration number.
