Georgetown : The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on De Kendren Public Road, West Coast Demerara, last evening and which resulted in the death of Ahad Sheik, 19 years, of De Willem, West Coast Demerara.
Investigations revealed that the driver of motor lorry GKK 1849 was proceeding along the road way, when it alleged that Ahad Sheik who was driving motor cycle CF 2204 and proceeding in the opposite direction, over took a motor car and collided with the motor lorry.
Ahad Sheik received injuries and was taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver of the motor lorry is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
