Linden : At about 6:45pm yesterday, motor car PVV 9182 driven by Clint Henry 35 years of 22 Toucan Drive Amelia's Ward was proceeding east along Amelia's Ward public road when suddenly a pedestrian crossed the said road. Initial reports stated that the car driver tried taking evasive action to avoid a collision but came into contact with the said pedestrian who fell to the road surface receiving injuries he was picked up unconscious and taken to linden hospital by the said driver and the pedestrian was pronounced dead on arrival
The pedestrian name was later learnt to be Michael Simon 59 yrs of Amelia's Ward. The driver is in police custody assisting with investigation
