Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army makes monetary contribution to Police Force

Georgetown :  Tyrone Bentinck, a Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army who is based at the Pentagon, Washington D.C, United States of America paid a courtesy call on Acting Commissioner of Police David Ramnarine, D.S.M.

During the visit yesterday he made a monetary contribution to the Guyana Police Force Bursary Fund for which an award ceremony is slated for August 26, 2016 at the Officers Mess Annex.

Lieutenant Colonel Bentinck who left Guyana at age sixteen, in the company of his parents, for the United States of America was also the recipient of a bursary award in Guyana since his father the late Carlton Bentinck was a Police Superintendent and hailed from Campbellville.

He recognized the importance of supporting youths in their educational development as he was a beneficiary and as such enjoys engaging and giving back.
