LIAT departments moving to Barbados

Bridgetown.

LIAT is moving more of its commercial operations from Antigua to Barbados.

Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy says scheduling and revenue management departments are joining marketing and customer service that are already
based here.

“We would have another seven staff members in addition to the 12 who are here; so by and large the commercial aspect of the operation will be here. So we’ll look to see what we can do to strengthen the work of LIAT,” the minister told the House of Assembly yesterday.

Barbados is one of four major shareholders in LIAT, the others being St Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda and Dominica.
