Legendary fast bowler officially knighted

Bridgetown.

Legendary West Indian fast bowler of the late 1950s and 1960s  Sir Wesly Hall  was officially knighted by Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave, at Government House this morning.

Sir Wesley's children Dr Kerry Hall and Sean Hall, along with his former captain Sir Garfield Sobers,  fast bowling partner Charles Griffith and team mate Rawle Brancker were among those witnessing the investiture ceremony.

Sir Wesly received a Knight Bachelor in the Queen's Birthday honours last June.
