Leave gold at home

Bridgetown.

The Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) is pleading with Barbadians to desist from wearing excessive jewellery because of the recent upsurge in aggravated assaults involving the theft of jewellery from the person.

Last week four visitors to Barbados were robbed of their jewellery. Two of the visitors were at 11 a.m, and a couple days later tourists using the popular Richard Haynes Boardwalk in Hasting, Christ Church, were also relieved ot their precious metals.

Public Relations Officer of the RBPF told TrakkerNews the cash for gold phenomenon was now at a crisis stage, and severe measures should be taken by citizens and visitors.
