Georgetown: After being charged for assaulting his wife and was set to appear in court yesterday, 34-year-old Vickram Ramdin decided to opt out of the situation and took the law into his own hands and killed his wife 24-year-old Nandanie Mohan, he strangled the woman with a bed sheet and then committed suicide.
The both resided at Lot 155, Section D/B Non Pareil, East Coast Demerara. The man who is a laborer according to information received was constantly abusive to his spouse and she made several reports at the station. The bodies were discovered by Ramdin’s sister after she did not see or hear from them during Sunday.
She reportedly went the couple’s home, and as she entered, she found her brother hanging from the rafters of the living room. Upon further checks, she found her sister-in-law motionless body on the bed. It is believed that the man might have committed the act in the wee hours of Sunday morning, but the discovery was made about 21:00h.
