Jagdeo says APNU budget is carbon copy of PPP/C’s initiatives

cdda62735b7d48c1c87a65c52461566a_XLGeorgetown: Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo blasted the APNU/AFC Administration and more so the Finance Minister, Winston Jordan, for presenting a number of the PPP/C’s initiatives and plans in his 2015 budget in hopes of making the public believe that these are initiatives of the APNU/AFC.

Jagdeo accused Minister Jordan of being “lengthy in generality” and having “lofty goals” in his budget speech.

“He failed miserably to be specific in policy prescriptions and initiatives to address the pressing issues facing various constituencies in Guyana.”

He said that the Minister “shamelessly presented many of the PPP/C Administration’s projects and programmes in health, education, housing and water, roads, drainage and irrigation, enhancing accountability and the environmental services sector among others as new initiatives. It is seriously underwhelming”.
