Injunction against Redjet overturn

Bridgetown.

High Court Judge  Randell Worrell, yesterday overturned a injunction granted to Grantley Adams  International Airport Inc (GAIA),   which prevented Redjet from flying a aircraft to the United Stated  where it will be to help pay off creditors.

Justice Worrell agreed that Section 41 of Bankruptcy  and  Insolvency Act which Redjet filed for protection, provides a statutory stay so that no creditor has remedy to commence any action.

Chief Executive Officer of Redjet Captain Geoffrey O' Byrne told Trakker News: "The actions that the trustee would be taking are in the interest of the Grantley Adams (International Airport and the other creditors, so really there was no basis in law or logic for what they were seeking to do".

The GAIA had filed the injunction against Redjet after one of its two remaing planes left the island on Saturday afternoon.

GAIA is owned hundred of housand of dollars by Redjet.
