Georgetown: The Ministry of Housing is now developing homes for high income professionals as a part of its “young professional housing initiative”.
This was disclosed by Minister; Irfaan Ali who says a number of persons who previously applied for land only are now requesting house and land.
Minister Ali says the houses will be available for as low as eight million dollars.
Minister Ali added that the ministry’s approach is not only to make housing more available, but to ensure home ownership and family development.
He said that the there has also been a dynamic shift in the private sector focus of having gated and high-end communities available as a result of the changing income levels in the country.
