Georgetown : The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at last night on Vlissengen Road, Georgetown, and which resulted in the death of a unidentified pedestrian.
Investigations have revealed that the pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway and was struck down by a motor car.
He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital and succumbed during this morning.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
The victim is a destitute who is of East Indian descent, appears to be in his mid-thirties, about 5’7” in height, brown complexion and medium build.
