Guyanese woman killed in Antigua

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda is offering an reward of EC$ 100,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the brazen daylight murder of a Guyanese woman yesterday.

Susan Powell, 38, a mother of five was murdered when a lone gunman walked into Gadjet Store at Heritage Quay, in which she worked and shot her in the face at point blank range.

National Security Minister Dr Errol Cort expressed deepest condolences to Powell's family on behalf of the Government and people of Antigua. He said that no stone will be left unturned in bringing the perpetrator of this murder to justice.

"I am outrage and sadden at the horrific tragedy that saw the life of a young mother being indiscriminately taken", Cort said in a statement.
