Guyanese students to study community medicine in Venezuela.

Georgetown : The Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Guyana, H.E. Darío Morandy, informed that a group of twelve (12) Guyanese students will be traveling to Venezuela today to study at the Latin American School of Medicine “Salvador de Allende” – LASM located in Caracas, Venezuela.

This is the second group of Guyanese students to receive an “Integral Scholarship” to study Community Medicine in Venezuela.

This scholarship includes all expenses such as personal expenses, accommodation, food, laundry services, specialized library, medical attention, academic orientation, recreation and roundtrip airfare from the beginning and conclusion of the university studies.

Ambassador Morandy emphasized that the Latin American School of Medicine

“Salvador de Allende” receives annually, students from twenty (23) countries

beneficiaries of the International Scholarship Programme which was created by

President Hugo Chávez as part of the policy of cooperation that Venezuela maintains with different countries of the world.
