Guyana will need educated people to replace the massive exodus of teachers- APNU Presidential Candidate.

Georgetwon: APNU’s Presidential Candidate, Brigadier (ret) David Granger paid a visit to Region #10 to attend a ceremony honouring the top 3 students from Linden; Terron Alleyne, Carol Hopkinson, and Teryka Mohabir, who were successful at the National Grade Six (6) Assessment examinations. The ceremony was held at the Albert Benjamin Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Mr. Granger congratulated the children, parents and teachers on their excellent performance and presented book vouchers to the three outstanding children. He also committed to donations of similar vouchers to the students each year of their studies up to CXC level.

Granger went on to extend congratulations to all the students who successfully completed the National Grade Six (6) Assessment examinations. He especially recognized the hard work of the team of top 10 students Terron Alleyne, Sariah Singh, Sarah David-Longe, Angelie Persaud, Carol Hopkinson, Teryka Mohabir, Thalia Baeza-Milan, Kareen Abdool, Narissa Persuad, Shafeek Rayman and Edmund Henry.
He promised that an APNU Government would spare no cost to make Guyana an "education nation" once again. He went on to remind those present that education was central to APNU’s plan for national development.

Granger wished these students every success, at the secondary level, and is convinced that, as is to be expected, they will also go on to do well at the tertiary level. This should bode well for the future development of the country, as Guyana will need to replace the massive loss of educated persons who flee the country each year.
