Georgetown : Students attached to the Centre for Communications Studies (CCS) , University of Guyana will be putting their lessons in practical by producing eight films.
President Bharat Jagdeo has created an endowment to support the creation of a film industry in Guyana.
Scripts are already being developed by a team headed by Dr. Paloma Mohammed, Director of the CCS.
Titles of the films are The Bottle, Backyard, The Encounter, Shadows of Light, Three Cards, Luck Beat Ugly and Fire band Masquerade.
Auditions for actors will be held on April 23 rd at the Theatre Guild.
