Guyana to get $9.27B from EU

GEORGETOWN: European Commissioner for Development Andris Piebalgs today signed Development programmes for 21 ACP countries and Guyana’s allocation is Euro 34 Million ($9.7B)

A release from the European Union Tuesday said that the funds will focus mainly on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction, including sea defences. The agreement was signed in Samoa in the Pacific.

The funds have been allocated under the 11th European Development Fund for the period 2014-2020.
