Guyana to be featured in the Harvard Business Review

MOEGeorgetown: A team from the World Investment News on Monday, July 13 met with the Minister of Education, Dr. Rupert Roopnaraine to discuss the role of education in the development of Guyana.

 World Investment News (WINNE) in a letter to the Ministry stated that they will be coordinating a series of reports focusing on the Caribbean starting with Guyana. The reports, according to WINNE, will be published in the Harvard Business Review and focuses on  the relationship between the United States and Guyana; the development of the Guyana economy thought the creation of macro-economic conditions to foster a positive business environment; and, the government’s relationship with the private sector. 

The report is also expected to highlight the numerous investment opportunities Guyana offers, such as oil, mining, agriculture, banking and finance, infrastructure, tourism, and industrial sectors. 

Dr. Roopnaraine provided the visiting team with an exclusive interview on the linkages between the Guyana education sector and Guyana’s development in relation to the other sectors of the economy.
