Georgetown: Guyana swapped Petro Caribe oil debt with Venezuela for rice and paddy valued at over US$336M from June last year to January this year, the finance minister announces in budget presentation. In addition, Foreign Direct Investment in 2013 was US$214M. This was disclosed today while Finance Minister Ashni Singh made the budget presentation.
