GT&T wants to make dreams come through- CEO on promotion of Cinderella play.

Georgetown: The much publicized Cinderella stage play billed for the National Cultural Centre comes off with two matinee shows on the 13th and 14th of April. The popular fairy tale will be performed in the form of a comedy featuring some of Guyana's renowned actors and directors including Neaz Subhan, Mahadeo Shivraj and Sonia Yard. In his comments at today's press conference, Chief Executive Officer of the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph company Mr. Yog Mahadeo said that GT&T wants to take it's corporate energy into the culture of Guyana. He added that GT&T is in every community, every event and promotions you can possibly think off, and once nationhood matters GT&T will matter. "There is a place for every Guyanese with talent and GT&T endeavours to make dreams come through", Mahadeo said. The CEO is convinced that families can come together and unite at a national level with shows like these.

Actor and Director Neaz Subhan said that the production cost for this play is very high and with all the props and stage setting, GT&T's participation is very timely. "The shows promises special packages and excitement since it will be the first of it's kind in Guyana", Neaz concluded.

Mahadeo Shivraj, the director, explained that Cinderella will be played out at a level that will amaze patrons. He said that the moral of such a play is that the one who has faith will win in the end. He is hoping that patrons will find values in the play that they can relate to and perhaps use in their own lives. It is the hope of the Theatre company and GT&T to bring more family-oriented plays to the cultural centre on a more regular basis.
