Georgetown: The Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC), in collaboration with the Hand-in-Hand Group of Companies, released four new locally themed postage stamps on Monday October 5, 2015, to observe the insurance institution’s 150th Anniversary. Stamps will be available for circulation in $80 and $150 denominations at selected Post Offices.
Commemorative stamps are the perfect memorabilia to celebrate an anniversary or significant event. Such stamps are circulated both locally and internationally to a wide cross-section of people. Stamps also attract the interest of Philatelists who purchase, sell and store them as valued collectables.
GPOC wishes to congratulate the Hand-in-Hand Group of Companies on the attainment of its 150th Anniversary. The Hand-in-Hand Group of Companies was established in 1865 and began its operations at the current Headquarters. Today, the company operates fourteen (14) offices countrywide.
