Gov’t anticipates meaningful engagement at Guyana Business Summit

Georgetown: Ministers of the Government are looking forward to sharing Government’s agenda and perspectives with key stakeholders at the Private Sector organized Business Summit to be held at the Guyana Marriott Hotel today and tomorrow.

The Summit, which will feature an opening address by President David Granger, will see participation from Ministers of Government, business leaders, representatives of donor agencies, civil society, the Diplomatic Community and Members of the Parliamentary opposition.

This event is aimed at facilitating a discussion on Challenges and Opportunities for Business Growth and Expansion and will include presentations by seven Ministers of Government along with panel discussions and sectoral presentations by various industry stakeholders.

 The seven thematic areas to be addressed at the summit are: Energy; Economic Development and Capacity; Markets; Human Capital Development; Taxation; Sourcing Capital and Governance.
