Government to report on its first 100 days in office

British Virgin Islands: In his speech titled “Journey to Recovery: Changing the Direction of the Virgin Islands”, Premier and Minister for Finance Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE will report on Government’s first 100 days in office, while addressing the different initiatives to enhance the Virgin Islands’ economy, according to a BVInews.com report.

Speaking to the Department of Information and Public Relations Director of Communications for the Government of the Virgin Islands, Mrs. Arliene T. Penn said, “The report on Government’s activities in its first 100 days since taking office in November is aligned with the administration’s core principles of accountability, openness and effective leadership…This is an opportunity for the public to get a holistic view or understanding of where the ministers and their ministries, department, units and statutory boards currently are in achieving Government’s agenda. The Premier will speak about the road ahead and what his Government is doing to foster relationships with the public.” The Government of the Virgin Islands remains committed to open communication with the people of the Virgin Islands, the BVInews.com report stated.
