Government approaches Air China, two US Airlines to land flights locally

Air chinaGeorgetown: The government has approached Air China and two US Airlines to land flights locally. This announcement was made by President Donald Ramotar at the launch of invest Guyana publication in Georgetown.

President Ramotar told the gathering of local entrepreneurs and diplomats that Jet Blue, a US airline is awaiting the extension of the runway at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.

The president anticipates a massive take off in air transport sector and urged citizens to be prepared for the integration into the wider regional groupings in Caricom and South America.
