Georgetown to be twinned with Buenos Aires

TwinnedGeorgetown: Shortly, Georgetown and Buenos Aires would be entering into a brotherhood agreement. This was agreed on by Ambassador Luis Alberto Martino of Argentina and Mayor Patricia Chase-Greene, when the Ambassador visited Mayor at her officer on Tuesday.

 Ambassador Luis Martino said that he observed the transformation in Georgetown over several months. “Georgetown has the potential to be a profited City” said Ambassador Martino. He further stated that his Country would be happy to collaborate with the Council in Greening and restoration of parks. 

Mayor Chase-Greene said that Georgetown Municipality can learn for the experiences and success stories of City of Buenos Aries and the Council would be happy to partner with Buenos Aires on several areas of interest that would be mutually beneficial to both Cities.

The Mayor said over next week she would be working with City’s administration to identify other areas of possible collaboration between the two cities.
