Georgetown : A rank attached to the Guyana Defence Force ( GDF ) was brought to the city today from Eteringbang under close arrest and handed over to the Guyana Police Force.
According to Lt Colonel Algernon, there was a fatal shooting at Eteringbang on Saturday, April 16th which resulted in the death of a Colombian national, Mr. Arturo Castilla Balcazar.
Preliminary investigations by the GDF have revealed that, the arrested soldier at the location may have been responsible for the shooting.
