GCCA to conduct investigation into Ekereku aircraft incident

Georgetown : Public Works Minister Robeson Benn reported that with the incedent where a woman died after a Cessna 172 landed at Ekereku bottom, Region Seven, The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCCA) has launched an investigation.

He said officials from the GCCA will travel into the area at first light to conduct an investigation into the incident.

The Guyana Police Force last evening reported that around 5:40pm, Raquel Joseph, 22 years, of Old Road, Timehri, was killed when she ended up in the path of the propeller of the single-engine Cessna that had just landed at the Ekereku Airstrip.
