Former TV journalist Keisha David is dead

Port-of-Spain: Shock and grief within the media fraternity this morning with the news of the sudden death of a former colleague, former TV6 news reporter Keisha David.

David collapsed this morning while putting out garbage at her Macoya home.

She had started feeling ill and called out to her neighbour before she collapsed and was taken to the Mount Hope Hospital where she died just after 7am.

The cause of death has been given as aneurysm.

She was 29-years-old.

David was a senior broadcast journalist and producer at CCN TV6 from February 2007 to December 2010.

She left TV6 to join the communications team at the Office of the Prime Minister as a communications specialist in December 2010 and she subsequently left there around the middle of 2011 to take up a post as a communications specialist at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Communications.
