Port of Spain; Former Prime Minister, Patrick Manning strolled through the streets of Port Of Spain today where he appeared to be quite upbeat. He defied rumors that was established yesterday, when someone called a live talk show and announced that Mr Manning had passed away. Mr. Manning made a public appearance and caused quite a stir as citizens seemed quite elated to see him.
Several of them were seen kissing and wishing him well, one woman was heard advising the former PM to take a morning walk and get some early morning sun in order to assist with his recovery. Well wishers offered their prayers and expressed there pleasure to have him in their presence.
Mr. Manning was questioned whether he was missing the Parliament to which he responded "no," he said his recovery was his main priority after having a stroke and two seizures, he said he was not in a hurry to go back to parliament. He even ran in to Mayor of P.O.S Louis Lee Sing, they shared some laughter and a short chat.
The former PM stayed in the city for over an hour shopping for shirts and assured the public "I'm still standing" as he made his presence felt.
