Former Minister disappointed at being left out of the Cabinet

Bridgetown.

A former Governnment Minister of has expressed his disappointed at not being included included in the newly appointed Cabinet of the Freundel Stuart admistration.

Haynesley Benn, who was served as a Senator and  Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development after the Democratic Labour Party won the 2008 general elections under the late the late David Thompson, and was later switched to the Ministry of Trade in a Cabinet reshuffle by Prime Minister Freundel Stuart was not re-appointed the Cabinet after the general election last month.

Speaking at a thank you party held last night at the All Saints Resource Centre, Benn said.

"I was disappointed in not winning the seat but more disappointed in not being returned to the Senate to serve another term. I am disappointed but not surprised, as a voice for St Peter about not being returned as a minister in the Cabinet", Benn said.

"I will continue to serve the people of St Peter and will be ofering myself as a canidate whenever an election is called", he added.

Benn was defeated in the St Peter constituency by his cousin Owen Arthur.   ben.nn
