Georgetown : The office of the President today announces the appointment of Attorney- at- Law, former Justice Winston Moore as Ombudsman of Guyana.
Attorney Moore who is currently in Private practice will be sworn in January 2014 and taking up office at the Brickdam Chambers of the Ombudsman.
Over the years social activist Chistopher Ram and opposition Parliamentary parties have been lobbying Government to appoint an Ombudsman whose office have been closed for more than two decades.
