Essequibo : Police ranks intercepted a boat fitted with two 75hp outboard motor engines at Batavia Island, Cuyuni River, Mazaruni last evening.
A search was conducted and 150 kilograms of suspected cocaine were found in parcels concealed in the false bottoms of four plastic containers.
Five men, including a Venezuelan national, have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
