Five charged for Piari terror

Georgetown : Resulting from investigations into the armed robbery committed at Piari Landing, Puruni, on Sunday last, five men were charged with various offences and appeared before Magistrate H. Ramdhanie at the Bartica Magistrate Court yesterday where they were remanded to prison until November 11, 2011.

The five are Ken Parris, 38 years of Durban Street, Lodge; Alexander Imhoff, 35 years of Durban Street, Lodge; Aron Williamson, 30 years of Pollydore Street, Lodge;  and Eustace Thomas, 38 years of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, charged with six counts of robbery under arms while Ian Monderson, 26 years of North Road, Georgetown, was charged with seven counts of robbery under arms.

In addition they were all charged with simple larceny of a boat and engine and Ian Monderson and Aron Williamson were charged with unlawful possession of arms and ammunition.
