The police are investigating the circumstances under which Welton Edwards, 50 years, and Sherwin Hamilton, 40 years, of Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara (EBD), were shot and injured by a licensed firearm holder at about 12am today on a roadway at Sarah Johanna, EBD.
Welton Edwards was shot to his abdomen and back, while Sherwin Hamilton was shot to his abdomen and foot. They have been admitted to hospital for medical treatment.
The licensed firearm holder, whose firearm has been seized, is assisting the police with the investigations.
