West Coast Demerara : A licensed firearm holder is in police custody while his gun was seized by the police after a shooting incident last night.
According to the police, 32 year old Veeraj Persaud of Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara, who was at Double Day Hotel and Bar at Tuschen, East Bank Eemerara, was shot to his left knee by a licensed firearm holder during an issue over a female.
Persaud was admitted to the Georgetown Hospital to undergo surgery.
