The teen said he last saw his father alive on Friday and the Saturday morning when he woke his father had already left the house. He then escorted his step mother into the city to purchase some items and he left her at Demico, Stabroek Market since she was waiting on his father to meet her. “I then decide to go into Sophia by my mother to spend some time.”

When questioned how long he was living with his father and stepmother, Messiah said since his father was released from Prison on 3rd, May, 2016 he collected him and they lived in La Parfaite Harmonie, WBD.

On the day my father was released and I go there she was already at the jail waiting on my father. She then take he in Parfaite where she was renting a house,” the teen explained.

Colette-ParksReflecting on the tumultuous relationship his father had with his stepmother, Messiah said it was one that was violent with constant attacks on his father.

“My father told me he never decided to react because he done went to jail and feel what it is and didn’t want to go back because he come out to take care of his children. My father can’t even get a call on his phone she always pelting away his phone, she always jucking him or throwing hot water on him, and even tell him that she will kill him if he ever has another woman with him,” the tearful teen said.

He disclosed that his stepmother Ms. Parks was deported from the US 10 years ago and has no close relatives here. He said her children and immediate relatives are all in the US.

Meanwhile, the cousin of the deceased Lisa Edwards told this publication that she received a call from Ms. Park expressing her frustration that Peters was having friendly relations with other women.

She explained that Ms. Parks related that a woman called her cell phone and was abusive towards her, “I tell her don’t worry about that I’m going to come up at their house and we will talk about it. I tell her don’t worry about anything you know the man sleeps daily at you and is your man.”

Adding that she was supposed to visit the couple Sunday, Edwards said Peters was supposed to call her since they had planned to visit a BBQ a relative was hosting Saturday.

“Is about 4:00hrs Sunday my aunty rap on my door and tell me he died and I started to cry, me and my relatives then come over to the Best Hospital and he was transferred to Ezekiel mortuary,” she said.

She concluded that her cousin who was strong built and over six feet tall was killed in his sleep since when she visited him in the morgue there was no blood on his hands or any mark of violence on his body to suggest a suggest.

According to neighbours, Ms parked had moved into the apartment late last year and was living with someone. She then moved out in January 2016 and later moved back in. However, months ago they saw a new occupant sharing the apartment with her. He was identified as Fredrick Peters.
