Education officials probing incident

Bridgetown.

Officials of the Ministry of Education are investigation an alleged act of bullying involving a group of secondary school students.

The videotaped incident, which has been making the rounds on the social media network Facebook, shows a teenager being forced by some of his peers to clean a shoe.

He was watched by several bystanders as he carry out this task, and was threatened with sticks and was ordered to go to a standpipe and wet his cleaning sponge, after he failed to perform the chore to the satisfaction of the group.

Chief Education Officer Laurie King told Trakker News that he had not seen the video but will look into the matter.
