Georgetown : At about 10:15 a.m today, auto-dealer Intiaz Arakhan, 23 years, of Eccles, East Bank Demerara, was at Water Street, Georgetown, when he was held up by a man armed with a firearm.
The perpetrator shot Intiaz Arakhan to his right foot and took away an haversack with $2.5M and escaped on a motor cycle.
Intiaz Arakhan has been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.
