Eastmond not leaving BLP

Bridgetown.

Rawle Eastmond is not leaving the Opposition Barbados Labour Party (BLP) despite being replaced by Edmund Hinkson as the candidate for St James North in the next General Elections, Eastmond  who represented the area for 21 years told Trakker News he is not leaving the BLP.

The veteran poltician said he stayed away from the branch nomination meeting held at the St Alban's Primary School last Sunday between Hinkson and accountant Doug Skeete, because of the potential for diviseness in the branch.

"I did ot go because I thought there was a possibility that passions would have been inflamed. I also did not go because having repeatedly criticised that list, I thought on principle that I should not expose myself to an environment in which a flawed list was produced", Eastmond said.

According to Eastmond the matter is settle he has no plans of taking it to the law courts, he is comfortable with Hinkson winning the nomination than Skeete.
