East Coast miner robbed diamonds and laptops

Three masked men walked into a house of a diamond dealer at 2nd street Foulis, Enmore, East Coast Demerara, last night and carted off an undisclosed sum in diamond jewellery and three laptop computers.

The bandits gain entry through the back door of the house which was left open.

According to the businessman who spoke with TrakkerNews correspondent this morning said, he left the door open to go downstairs to take a bath at around 9:30pm when the bandits struck.

He said the men were armed with knives. They took the articlles and made good their escape before he raised an alar.

Other nearby residents today speculated that the bandits appear to know the area and would not rule out that they could be their own village men.

The police came to the scene about an hour after the robbery and tested for figureprints.

No arrest has since being made.
